Bandulu are MIGHTY! Mighty I tell you. They played at a few techno nights I habituated back then, and always bought real raw London rave energy - with MC - to spaces that could be quite dorky on occasion.

I wasn't going to bore people with this in the actual post, but Bandulu became one of those bands whose albums I'd just see everywhere I went shopping. Surely you can relate to this: just that one band or artists whose logo or album art just popped up in every damn rack you went combing through. I feel like that's a radio phone-in waiting to happen 😆

Anyway - cut to a couple of weeks ago and I was watching this, because I love me a bit of dubby techno: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O13ws4CokYo

Imagine my surprise then when this song I was loving was revealed to be Bandulu... and from 1993 no less!

I think perversely I quite enjoy learning in later life that bands who I'd basically dismissed for no good reason whatsoever have, it turns out, made some amazing music. It's like a life lesson, heheh.

They also made some spectacular horizontal drug dub: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_oYOM00iIU

And some mad Afro-bruk: https://youtu.be/OAkUt9MoeDA

And some extremely fun Balearic party starters! https://youtu.be/fIiIMu4icbQ

Richard Sen just dug up and re-rubbed this absolute classic too... https://richardsen.bandcamp.com/track/amaranth-love-lies-bleeding-richard-sen-remix

I'm a fan :D
